The Sterile

The sterile stainless steel multi-port valve from SAMSON SED combines multifunctional diaphragm and poppet valve technology with intelligent accessories in the smallest of spaces. Thanks to their aseptic design, the products are predestined for use in the pharmaceutical, biotech, beverage and food industries. Typical applications include shutting off, dosing, withdrawing, feeding, sampling, distributing, regulating and mixing flow media as well as cleaning in accordance with the SIP and CIP process.

Shut off, control, monitor

The sectional model shown illustrates how media are shut off and controlled by valves. The built-in stainless steel angle seat valve with control cone and positioner can be operated using a hand lever to simulate a control system. Furthermore, the new diaphragm valve type KMA 305 with plastic handwheel and known locking mechanism is installed, which protects against unintentional actuation of the valve. In addition, the most important information on the respective devices can be called up online at any time by reading the DataMatrix code and RFID transponder.

  • Our control valves make sure that production plants are supplied with the necessary process utilities, such as air, water, steam or refrigerants. Their high control accuracy optimizes processes and thus reduces the cost of operation.

  • Treated water is the most important raw material in the market. The safety of pharmaceutical products depends on the quality of the water used. No matter if you need purified water, ultrapure water or water for injection: our valves keep it sterile.

  • CIP and SIP (Cleaning-in-Place and Sterilization-in-Place) ensure that the required levels of purity and sterility can be guaranteed, even without having to dismantle entire plant sections. Our aseptic seat and diaphragm valves made of stainless steel are suitable for handling high temperatures and corrosive CIP and SIP media, which reduces the need for maintenance.

  • Particularly in filling applications, no (cross-)contaminations at all are tolerated. The excellent cleanability of the fine-polished wetted surfaces and minimal dead cavities make our diaphragm valves the perfect choice to handle high-precision dosing applications. Possible applications include filling vials, syringes and bottles.

  • Numerous valves must be installed in a confined space for chromatography processes to run smoothly. The compact design and tailor-made setup of our multi-port valve blocks reduce installation dimensions, dead cavities, CIP/SIP cycle times and the cost of installation.

  • Protecting the process medium from contamination is key to fermentation processes. Our diaphragm valves with CDSA-style seals make sure of that. On top, they control with high accuracy. Sterile bottom drain valves and sampling units guarantee that the fermented product stays safe while being processed further.
